Overdraft Protection Services
BayVanguard Bank offers 3 (three) forms of overdraft protection services. You may never have need of these services. But, we know that unforeseen things happen and mistakes can happen. The best way to avoid this is to: Always record each and every transaction you and any joint account holder initiate, both paper and electronic; Then carefully balance and reconcile your checkbook (and electronic transactions) activity and ending balance with/to your monthly checking account statement; and be sure to do this each and every month. This will help you catch others’ mistakes (including maybe our own) and avoid your own mistakes, if any. Have you ever:

Forgotten to record a deposit? A purchase? A withdrawal? A check order?
Had to “guess” at what transactions a joint owner has made?
Had a transaction denied or turned down at checkout?
Had the embarrassment and expense of a returned check?
We cannot promise or guarantee these things will never happen
But what we can do is…
You may apply for our Overdraft Protection Line of Credit. Upon approval, you will be notified that a line of credit has been established.
You may sign up for our Overdraft Protection Sweep which transfers automatically from your selected additional savings account with us. Refer to our fee schedule for the applicable transfer fee.
You may automatically qualify for our Occasional Overdraft Privilege Service, per the terms of your existing Checking Account Agreement.
