Bay-Vanguard collects Personal Information:
  1. When you apply for a Bay-Vanguard account, we collect personal information in order to process your application. This information may be retained by us so that we can provide the products and services you request. Some of this information is also handled by our service providers (for example, CheckFree needs specific data to implement your electronic bill payments). These service providers abide by our policy.
  2. After you are a customer, our electronic banking system records your online sessions, including the transactions you conduct online. This data enables us to process and confirm your transactions. It also enables the banking application to provide you with automatic online reports.
  3. When you send us e-mail, we will retain the content of the e-mail, your e-mail address, and our response in order to handle any follow-up questions you may have. We also use it to measure how effectively we address your concerns.
Bay-Vanguard has the highest regard for the privacy of its customers.

Bay-Vanguard will use personal information as appropriate in the normal course of our business to provide the products and services you have requested. We will also use this information to provide positive identification of you when you contact us. On occasion, we also send paper account statements, e-mail updates on services and other materials we believe may be of importance or interest.

You may be removed from our contact lists for "interest" related information by sending an e-mail to us at support@bayvanguard.com. An example of this information would be an announcement about a new product or service. For changes in policy or account critical information we will contact everyone.

Bay-Vanguard does not and will not sell or provide personal information to third parties for independent use. We may, however, share personal information with service providers if that information is required to provide the product or service you have requested. For example, in order to receive your ATM card(s) we provide only the necessary information to the appropriate service provider so that this service can be fulfilled. They only use this information as instructed by Bay-Vanguard.

If you ever have questions or issues with the accuracy of your personal information at Bay-Vanguard, please contact us at support@bayvanguard.com. We will investigate your issue and update our records as needed.

We request that you keep your information as up to date as possible so that you may get the maximum benefit from your Internet Banking service. In particular, please make sure that you inform us of e-mail address changes since this the most rapid way to communicate.

Bay-Vanguard uses multiple levels of security beginning with your browser and ending with a trusted operating system that acts as a virtual information vault inside the bank. This technology is the same technology that the Department of Defense and other high security government agencies have been using for many years.
